Our Story: Auburn
Every great story starts with a spark.
For Auburn, that spark was a question: Can we see what’s invisible?
Founded in a small Massachusetts town nearly 50 years ago, Auburn Systems set out to solve a problem that few were paying attention to: particulate emissions drifting unseen through the air, threatening equipment, the environment, and the people nearby. What began as a technical challenge quickly grew into a mission. Auburn pioneered the first commercial triboelectric particulate monitoring system in North America, helping industrial plants take control of their emissions before “compliance” was even a common word.
We didn’t set out to change the world. We set out to make air cleaner — plant by plant, filter by filter, insight by insight. In doing so, Auburn helped shape how industries monitor, manage, and minimize the dust they once couldn’t detect.
Over the decades, the world changed. Expectations grew. So did we.
From our roots in innovation, we built a name known for reliability, clarity, and results. We partnered with industries across the globe — from cement to pharmaceuticals, power to food — to help them run cleaner, safer, and smarter.
But growth brings new questions.
Today, Auburn isn’t just a product or a monitor. Auburn is a mindset — a belief that better data leads to better decisions, that cleaner processes lead to healthier people and a stronger planet, and that our work doesn’t end at the filter.
So we’re returning to our roots.
Not to go backward, but to move forward with clarity. Auburn is once again our name, and our legacy continues as we innovate into the future.
